
OUR VISION: We, as the Morning Star Community Church and guided by God's Word, seek to reach our community by letting the love of Jesus shine through us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 20:18-20, 1 John 4:7)
OUR COMMITMENTS:
- We are committed as the Morning Star Community Church to the bright morning star (Revelation 22:16), Jesus Christ, who is the head of this church. (Ephesians 4:15)
- We are committed to being like Jesus Christ in loving people without condoning sin. (Luke 15)
- We are committed to valuing the spiritual gifts of each believer and involving believers in ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:7, Ephesians 4:11-12)
Our ministry is based on the following five points of the star...

WORSHIP...
- Vision: We are committed as the body of Jesus Christ to praise and glorify God in a manner that reflects His worth. (Titus 2:11-14)
- We are committed to involving everyone in worship.
- We are committed to focusing on God as the One who receives our worship.
- We are committed to reflecting the diversity of worship experiences of our congregation.
EVANGELISM...
- Vision: We are committed to helping people on their journey toward accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. (Acts 1:8)
- We are committed to ministering to and assisting those in crisis.
- We are committed to dispelling misconceptions of "religion" as opposed to a "personal relationship with God."
- We are committed to introducing others to Jesus, either one one one, at home, work or wherever we are.
- We are committed to creating a sincere, friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere at church where people will feel valued and know that God and God's family cares about them, their lives and their souls.
- We are committed to living our lives in such a way that others will desire to seek and know the Lord.
- We are committed to seeking God's guidance in evangelism, to submitting ourselves to Him and to focusing on Him daily by reading the Bible and praying.
- We are committed to learning how to introduce people to Jesus Christ.
FELLOWSHIP...
- Vision: We are committed to sharing together the love of God in Jesus. (Ephesians 4:16, Galatians 6:2)
- Sharing - We are committed to sharing with God's people who are in need. (Romans 12:16)
- Caring - We are committed to caring for God's flock through love and willingness to be involved in each other's lives. (1 Peter 5:2)
- Compassion - We are committed to showing compassion to our congregation and neighbors in the community. (Mark 8:2)
- Celebrating - We are committed to gathering together to celebrate as a Christian family. (Nehemiah 8:12)
- Greeting - We are committed to greeting each other and visitors in Christian love. (Ephesians 1:2)
INSTRUCTION...
- Vision: We are committed to educating people to become effective followers of Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 4:1-2)
- We are committed to teacher training so that every teacher is comfortable in his/her responsibilities.
- We are committed to building interest and enthusiasm in Christian education.
- We are committed to building a Biblical basis of knowledge for all ages.
PRAYER...
- Vision: We are committed to developing a life of praising, surrendering, asking, listening and meditating (PSALM). (Ephesians 6:18)
- Praising - We are committed to using prayer to praise God for the blessing He brings to our community and individual lives. (Acts 2:47)
- Surrendering - We are committed to surrendering to God's will for us through His answer to prayer. (Philippians 4:6-7)
- Asking - We are committed to asking God's direction in our activities as a church and individually. (Matthew 7:7)
- Listening - We are committed to listening to God that we may do what He would have us do in His name. (John 10:27-28)
- Meditating - We are committed to meditating on God's Word that we may better understand what is desired from us, His servants. (Psalms 119:27)
